WHITE PLAINS, NY — June 21, 2017 — Today, Mount Vernon City Council Member, Lisa Copeland, announced her enthusiastic endorsement of Ken Jenkins for County Executive.
“I admire Legislator Jenkins and his tenacity,” said Copeland. “His vision for a brighter future for Westchester is not only attainable but pivotal to the success of generations to come. His relentless fight against bad policy and inefficient management will bring us out of this unproductive era of government.”
Council Member Copeland spent many years as City Clerk, giving her valuable insight into the City’s government.
“Ken has the fighting spirit we need to get Astorino out of office,” said Copeland. “His candidacy is historic! If elected, Ken will be the first ever African American to become County Executive. I believe Ken is the only one that can go head to head with Astorino and win. Ken has been here to fight every step of the way, and I am so excited to announce my support for his campaign for County Executive.”
“It is a great boost to my campaign to have yet another accomplished legislator’s support,” said Ken. “Council Member Copeland has used her time on the Council in Mount Vernon to get things done. We have a similar philosophy. Together, we will continue to do great work for Westchester.”
